Orwell had a strong heritage with the use of green, however recognised that the existing green felt flat and dated. The recognisable roof element of the original mark was retained but evolved as it still represented the core function of the business; providing shelter and homes for people. Its treatment, configuration and colours were all updated to add both depth and vibrancy.
People are at the heart of everything Orwell do; a new photographic style was created that’s natural, warm and authentic, showing real people living in their Orwell homes, content, happy and comfortable.
Their existing illustration style was quite basic and lacked personality. A new set of illustrated characters were created providing Orwell with a large family of individuals to represent both their team and their clients.
